TDB #002: How Embracing Your Masculinity Can Strengthen Your Relationship

One of the things I have always valued is the input of women when it comes to us being better men.

It’s why I have ladies on the podcast to speak to me on various subjects.

Which is great because it means I can ask them important questions like I did with a cohort of ladies on Twitter last week with this question:

What strengths, attributes, characteristics and virtues do you want to see your man cultivating so you can really relax into his mature masculine energy?

In this edition of the newsletter I am going to delve into their answers along with how you can cultivate these traits.

By the way the most attractive trait of all is cultivating these traits of your own volition – NOT because you want sexy time – okay?

Let’s go:

Leadership:

Leadership is the ability to inspire and guide others towards a common goal. To develop leadership skills, it is important to understand your own values and beliefs, and be able to communicate them effectively to others. Seek out opportunities to lead, such as volunteering in your community, and practice active listening, empathy, and emotional intelligence.

Patience:

Patience is a key ingredient for success in life. It is the ability to endure difficult situations without becoming frustrated or upset. To develop patience, it is important to take a deep breath and remain calm when faced with challenges. Try to focus on the bigger picture and practice mindfulness and meditation to stay calm in the moment.

Kindness:

Kindness is a simple yet powerful trait that can have a profound impact on those around you. To be kind, it is important to listen actively, be empathetic, and show genuine concern for others. Gents that is it!!

There is a ton of value in what the ladies told me – not least because most of these traits are ones you can develop for yourself in being a better man anyway.

A nice side effect of them is that they are going to draw you closer to your wife or partner in the process which as I said at the top is not the end goal.

Focus on one quality at a time, and gradually build on your progress over time. Surround yourself with positive and supportive people, and never be afraid to take risks and strive for better.
